CRC 1266 - Scales of Transformation

The CRC 1266 ‚‘Scales of Transformation – Human-Environmental Interaction in Prehistoric and Archaic Societies‘ takes a long-term perspective, from 15,000 BCE to 1 BCE, to investigate processes of transformation in a crucial period of human history, from late Pleistocene hunter-gatherers to early state societies.

Sub project A1 is looking for a ‘Hiwi‘ to conduct the following tasks:

The assistant will provide help in various research and administrative tasks. He / she will conduct literature searches and fetch literature from Kiel University's various libraries as well as online. The assistant will also construct research and literature portfolios on chosen topics. The literature will cover various theoretical disciplines from philosophical and sociological to anthropological and other theory and ideally the student will have a demonstrated interest and familiarity with at least some of these disciplines. Familiarity with digital processing of words and text (text recognition, digitization) is desirable.

Working times are flexible on a 5 hours per week basis. The position will commence on as soon as possible.
